Before painting this artwork I spent time reflecting about the women in my life - not only the women I'd sadly lost but those still here, who inspire me and lift me up. We have a fire within us that somehow through all of life's challenges keeps us fighting, protecting, nurturing and loving. This one is for you (and me) and the women who came before us.
